MWEA Local Section 21 Presents

70th Annual U.P. Wastewater Operators Conference 
 

When: Tuesday, May 12th - Wednesday, May 13th, 2026
Where: Island Resort & Casino (W 399 US-2, Harris, MI 49845).
*Note: Local time is EST

Important items to note:

  • Check-in, continental breakfast, and visiting with the exhibitors opens at 8:30am EST
  • Meeting room temperatures vary, so it is advisable to dress in layers. 
  • This seminar is worth 0.6 Technical WW CECs & 0.3 Managerial WW CECs / Up to 9 PDHs
  • CEC / PDH certificates will be available at the conclusion of the conference on Wednesday
    • Note: late arrival and/or early departure will result in forfeiture of your CECs. (Partial PDHs can still be awarded)
  • Evaluation forms will be on your tables - please rate the content, speakers, and provide feedback on this form.

  • Blocks of rooms are being held until 4.27.26
    • 69 rooms in the block
  • ​Room Rate: $80 plus resort fees (may change)
    • Rooms are standard, two queen beds or one king bed, non-smoking.
You must tell the reservation desk that you are with MWEA Spring Conference to be included in room block #8534.
 

Cancellation Policy - If MWEA Section 21 cancels, full refunds will be issued. If registrant cancels 10 days or more before program, a 100% refund will be issued. If registrant cancels less than 10 days before program, fees based on expenses will apply. If cancellation is made after program date, there will be no refund. The registration can be transferred to another person in your organization anytime. All changes must be communicated to the MWEA Office at (517) 641-7377.
