Located just outside the charming town of Monticello, IL, Allerton Park is an easy (25 mile) drive from Champaign's Willard Airport, and a short excursion from Chicago, Indianapolis or St. Louis. 

Explore 14 miles of hiking trails, wander through formal gardens with over 100 garden ornaments, and marvel at the quiet, expansive grounds.Allerton Park and Retreat Center offers a unique opportunity to experience art, nature, and history.

Directors Institute Registration Fee:
  • $425.00 member for individual registration
  • $361.00 (3 or more from the same agency registered at the same time) 
  • $550.00  for Non-Member
Note: the IHSA Team does our best to fill all spots for Professional Development events.  Our conference and event registration forms continue to include IHSA’s no cancellation clause, a standing policy -- "Once registrations have been submitted online—there are NO cancellations.  Name changes will be accepted up to 72 hours before the event."  This is done as a notification for viewer acknowledgment - before he or she chooses to manually click the submit button.  However strict this policy may seem at times, we always still allow for agencies to send a replacement for the original registrant). 

Registration does not include travel and lodging, attendees are responsible for their own arrangements. Potential travelers are encouraged to plan their travel and hotel reservations based on their comfort level and ability. There is always the possibility that the meeting will need to pivot back to an entirely virtual event should Covid guidelines change. There are several hotels conveniently located near the event.  

Attendees are responsible for making and canceling their travel reservations as needed. Please be mindful of cancellation and change fees as you make your travel plans.

Your Allerton adventure wouldn’t be complete without visiting other popular attractions right here in Central Illinois. The picturesque town of Monticello (5 miles) features quaint shops, art galleries, and eateries around the historic square (map here). Take a ride on a vintage train, or a visit to the Farmers’ Market. For family fun, check out the Family Aquatic Center or other area parks.
