This course appropriately begins with the water cycle. It is an overview of the wastewater treatment process, beginning to end. This gives the individual the concepts of the entirety and impact of the work done in treatment plants.
This class is excellent for those new to the profession and those who have had a limited scope of job duties. This will be a unique opportunity of great value to persons providing products and services in the wastewater industry.

Introduction to Wastewater Math
This course begins by covering the basic algebra rules and processes needed to perform mathematical calculations used in wastewater. The course then introduces basic water math concepts of tank calculations. Finishing with calculating water volume measurements through the system over time.
This class will be excellent for those in need of a refresher of high school math or those who generally struggle with math.

We invite you to help us celebrate MWEA's 100th Year Anniversary with an outing to Comerica Park. This special event is an opportunity to catch up with some of your fellow peers, reminisce over classic ballpark bites, and enjoy a nice Michigan summer evening outside watching the Tigers play ball.
This Centennial Celebration will be held on Friday, August 8th at Comerica Park in Detroit, Michigan. The evening will begin inside the stadium at Party Plaza A, where we will enjoy a classic ballpark meal. We will then make our way down to our seats to watch the first pitch. Following the game, we encourage you to stay to watch the spectacular Friday fireworks show!
This celebration is for our MWEA/WEF members and vendors. You may also choose to bring one guest at an additional cost. Registration is required as seats and space are limited, please be sure to add your guest to your registration, should you choose to bring one. Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are a large and complex class of anthropogenic compounds whose prevalence in the environment are an emerging, widespread priority in environmental and human health.
