Position Summary:
Assisting restaurant and banquet staff in the cleaning and organizing of dishes, food and beverage outlets.
● Promptly and carefully sort soiled ware so that it can be put through the dish or pot machine properly.
● Quickly wash all ware and replace in storage areas as designated.
● Maintaining all equipment to a high standard, i.e. dishwashers, burnishes, etc., and reporting to maintenance any defects.
● De-tarnish and polish silver for proper appearance
● Responsible for storage, requisitioning of all materials and equipment
● Taking and calculating of material stock (inventory) as required.
● Interior of hotel, in all Food and Beverage areas, with exposure to humidity and extreme temperatures.
● Exposure to Food and Beverage hazardous cleaning chemicals.
● Exposure to food items and beverages.
● Must be flexible in scheduling to include, nights, weekends, and holidays
● Perform any other job-related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:
● Physical strength and stamina are essential to this position due to the high activity level.
● Knowledge of service ware and how to maintain same in order to compliment guest experience.
● Ability to push/pull service carts weighing up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
● Ability to transport heavy objects through a crowded room with or without reasonable accommodation.
● Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move or push goods on a hand cart/truck weighing a maximum of 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
● Effective verbal and written communication skills.
● Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.

Physical Requirements:
● Prolonged periods of standing and working in a kitchen.
● Exposure to extreme heat, steam, and cold present in a kitchen environment.
● Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
● Must be able to work late nights and unpredictable hours.
● Manual dexterity to cut and chop foods and perform other related tasks.

● High school or vocational school coursework in kitchen basics such as food safety, preferred.
● Prior related experience preferred.
