The knitting circle will meet every second and forth Tuesday evening. Project Committee members will provide instruction, assistance, and materials to new knitters (if you have your own needles it is recommended to bring those). The knitting
circle will start with cat mats, which are a beginner-friendly project, and donate those knitted items to the Capital Area Humane Society. As knitters advance, we can explore the needs of other organizations, such as the Sparrow Hospital Cancer Treatment Center (men’s chemotherapy hats), and the Lansing Police Department (Lansing Comfort Bear Project), to assume more difficult patterns (hats, which involve knitting in the round, and comfort bears).
