Call for Abstracts – MWEA’s 101st Annual Conference

Dates: June 15–18, 2026
(*Note new Monday-Thursday schedule moving forward with Technical Sessions on TUESDAY PM, WEDNESDAY AM and PM, & THURSDAY AM )
Location: Boyne Mountain Resort, Boyne Falls, MI (in-person only, no virtual/recorded presentations)

Be part of Michigan’s Water Quality Event of the Year!  MWEA is now accepting abstract submissions for our 101st Annual Conference. We’re looking for dynamic and engaging presentations from all corners of the water sector—especially innovative or first-of-their-kind projects!

Submission Guidelines:

  • Submit a brief abstract (500 words or less) summarizing your talk, including a title and requested info in the online form.  

  • Standard sessions are 25–30 minutes with 5 minutes for Q&A. If you need more time or plan to involve attendees, please note that!

  • If accepted you are to prepare and submit a PowerPoint presentation 2 weeks prior to the conference.. A laptop, slide advancer, lavalier or handheld microphone and projector will be provided in your session room.

  • All abstracts will be reviewed by the MWEA Program Committees.

  • No limit to how many abstracts you or your organization can submit.

  • You do not need to be an MWEA member to present.

  • Presenters attend free on the day they speak! (A discounted FULL conference registration is also available)
