Gaining student back stories is essential for successfully educating critically at-risk,multicultural students, and attaining financial advancement for multicultural schools.Backstories, a set of experiences that shape student identities and interaction, impact instructional efficacy and strengthen fundraising. Using peer reviewed data and examplesfrom her acclaimed book This Way to Hope: The Challenges, Hard truths and Triumphs of Working with Critically At-Risk Students, Donna will lead an interactive webinar that sheds light on the transformative power of student backstories relative to improved academic and behavioral performances, learning plan customization and the significant improvement of fundraising campaigns for multicultural schools working primarily with student populaces from impoverished, underserved communities.
