61st Annual IESMA Summit
Dates: April 14-17, 2026
Location: Northfield Inn, Suites, and Conference Center. Springfield, IL

Theme: Building Resilient Communities
The Summit program will be organized around four key areas of focus:

• Developing Partnerships: Strengthening Interagency coordination, public-private collaboration, and cross-discipline teamwork.
• Developing Volunteers: Enhancing volunteer engagement, training, retention, and integration into emergency management operations.
• Developing Personal Resiliency: Promoting individual well-being, mental health, and leadership sustainability within high-stress professions.
• Incorporating Technology to Build Resilience: Highlighting tools, platforms, and innovations that improve situational awareness, communication, and operational efficiency.

The Summit agenda includes:
Tuesday, April 14th: Pre-Summit  training sessions
Wednesday, April 15th: Full day of speakers and breakout session, lunch, membership meeting, and supper with Awards Ceremony.
Thursday, April 16th: Morning of speakers and breakout session. Afternoon Legislative Day with local legislators at the State Library Atrium
Friday, April 17th: Morning of speakers and session. Afternoon newly elected Board Meeting.
Each day attendees will have multiple opportunities to visit various exhibitors in our Exhibitor Hall.

Attendees come from virtually every county in Illinois with representation from different disciplines such as emergency management, police, fire, EMS, public health, and others.

The Illinois Emergency Services Management Association (IESMA) invites you to participate as an exhibitor or sponsor at the 61st Annual IESMA Summit, the state’s premier professional development event for county emergency management professionals and leaders.
The Summit brings together 150–200 attendees, primarily County Emergency Managers from across Illinois, along with representatives from state agencies and public safety partners. These professionals lead preparedness, response, recovery, planning, training, and procurement in their jurisdictions.
