This advanced 30+ hour Family Mediation Training is taught over four days and an introduction period. It builds on your foundational skills to focus on the unique challenges of family conflict. The core goal is to prepare mediators to help separating families create or modify Parenting Plans due to life changes.
What You Will LearnThe curriculum implements diverse methods, including presentations, videos, and covers Nebraska's specific statutes and ethical standards. The training uses realistic role-plays for both private and joint sessions.
Curriculum Essentials
You will participate in several simulated mediation role-plays. These sessions include personalized feedback from experienced mediators/coaches at an excellent 4:1 role-player-to-coach ratio.

Applicants must demonstrate active mediation experience or continuing education. Additional coursework may be required.
For Non-Nebraska Certification:
Mediators outside Nebraska or attorneys focused on skill improvement must establish proficiency with the Lead Trainer (typically via syllabus submission and mediation experience).
