Thirty completed applications with payment or an approved purchase order that were received by 12:30 today, March 2, 2026. All thirty applicants received an email confirmation of their registration in the class. There is a waiting list for the class.
Introduction to Benefit Programs & Exemptions
Dates:: March 16, 18, 23 & 25, 2026. (additional snow day of March 30th)
Time: 9:30 A.M – 12:30 P.M.
Place: Rocky Hill Fire Station, 3050 Main Street, Rocky Hill, CT 06067
The topics covered in this module are: Homeowners, Veterans, Additional Veterans, Blind, Totally Disabled and Active Duty MV.
The module consists of four half days and an exam on the last day.
*This class is only open to municipal employees who work in an Assessor’s Office and is limited to two employees per municipality. Class size is limited to 30 students
FEE: $100.00 (Make checks payable to CAAO)
Registration must be received by March 12, 2026, and mailed or emailed with the form and fee (or signed approved purchase order) to: Pam Deziel, Assessor’s Office, PO Box 179, Middlefield, CT 06455
Receipt of application with payment or a copy of a signed approved purchase order reserves a seat.
A personal check may be used to hold a seat until payment from the municipality or a signed approved purchase order is received

Coffee will be available at 11:00.a.m. Lunch options are: Spicy Shrimp Wrap, Tuscan Chicken Panini, Pepper Steak Wrap, TJ's Classic Burger, and Arugula Salad.
Please respond no later than Thursday, March 20th as to whether or not you will be attending the meeting. If you plan on attending the meeting, please respond with your lunch choice. The cost for non-executive board members is $30.00. New committee chairs take note that you do not have to pay for lunch at Executive Board meetings.
If you are no longer the county rep for your county association, please send me the contact information for the new county rep.
If you are a voting member and are unable to attend, please send me your signed letter of proxy no later than 11:30 a.m., Monday, March 23rd, 2026.
If you are a committee chair, please let me know if you will have a report.

The Office of Policy and Management certifies individuals who are employed by a Certified Connecticut Revaluation Company and who perform valuations of real and personal property for assessment purposes. Employee Certifications expire on April 30th in the year of expiration.
