Jaycee Juice - March 2020
![]() March GMM Recap.
March looks a bit different for everyone. In an effort to follow guidelines for social distancing, we held a virtual meeting. Thank you to everyone who joined us. To recap, Easter Egg Hunt 2020 has been canceled. We are still marching forward with our Easter Egg Deliveries. We will meet next week virtually to further discuss marketing and finalize the details of donating proceeds to a local agency to assist the community right now. We are on the resources list with the Mayor's office and will be notified of volunteer opportunities as they continue assessing community needs during this pandemic.

Support our Partners
The coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic has created havoc for many Michigan businesses; especially those involving contact with the public. Many of our partners have been affected by orders to close or change their business model for the time being. In an effort to give back, we've created a list of our partners along with their websites. We encourage you to help them in this time of need to be a patron as you are able or consider making a purchase of a gift card to be used later. Help our partners who have given so much to us over the years, in a time when they could use a helping hand!
Check out a list of our partners by clicking here.
We will be highlighting them on social media. We encourage you to share them around. If you have additions you'd like to make, please send them to Jessica Anderson.
![]() Support Ronald McDonald House - $ Donations
Laine Putans is organizing dinner for Ronald McDonald House. Due to COVID-19, we can no longer cook for them as we normally would have. Instead Laine is planning to deliver food from Zaytoon's to Ronald McDonald House for the meal we signed up for on 3/27.
Here's a message from Laine: "They have anywhere from 10-24 guests and we don't know how many until the day before, which makes collecting $ a little challenging. We're looking at anywhere between $115-$250 with tax and tip. (Definitely much more expensive than cooking, but what can ya do.) Between 3 people we've raised $80. If you're able to donate $10 or $20, it would be appreciated. In the event I collect too much money, I would offer to refund you your share or donate it to Ronald McDonald House - your choice. Though this isn't the fun collective cooking experience we'd hoped for, I can only imagine how stressful it would be to have a loved one in the hospital right now, so I'm glad we're still able to support!"
Laine is accepting donations through PayPal or Venmo.

Tips for working from home
![]() From the mayor's office - Department of Neighborhoods + Citizen Engagement
"The biggest need we are hearing from our partners is from the Tri County Office on Aging who need drivers for meal delivery. Their congregate meal sites have been closed and they are relying more on in home delivery.
The best support is cash contributions to the Greater Lansing Food Bank and the Capital Area United Way has established an Emergency Fund to support our neighbors with cash assistance during this time. We will be building out this fund over the next few weeks and sub funds can be established (i.e. if you wanted to organize to support a specific neighborhood)
Finally, we are asking everyone to make an appt and give blood. We have a critical shortage because large blood drives have all been cancelled. Please schedule your appointment to donate blood HERE using your zip code to locate the closest location."
