Educational sessions, before CPAN Annual Meeting.  There are two educational sessions available:
Educational sessions begin at 10:15 AM and will conclude by 11:45 AM. 

Learn about the new MiABLE 529 plans:

MiABLE plans are designed to give individuals with disabilities and their family members the opportunity to save money without having to worry about  losing their federal or state benefits.  MI Department of Treasury program Director, Scott DeVarona and financial advisor Brian Culver will be there to tell you all about the program, how to register, and answer your questions.  If you know someone that has a disability, this is a program you will want to attend.  Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with a financial advisor after the presentation to ask questions and discuss your specific situation.  This session is FREE, but requires registration.
 
Who should attend? Persons who became disabled prior to age 26, folks receiving SSI or SSDI due to disability, survivors and family members, case managers and providers working with individual in the disability community.

Life After Covenant v. State Farm:  How Providers Can Avoid Litigation and What to Do When They Can't:
In this educational session presented by Stephen and Thomas Sinas, CPAN Associate General Counsel, participants will learn how to:  avoid no-fault related litigation; use assignments post-Covenant ruling;  and prepare for litigation, if your organization goes to court.  There will be time for Q & A.  The cost of this session is $25, $35 for non-members and includes handouts and refreshments.

Who should attend?  Medical providers, billing department personnel, case managers, and others providing services to persons benefiting from auto no-fault coverage.
