JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under administrative direction, plans, schedules, organizes and directs Wastewater Treatment Plant, Sewer Collection and Stormwater operations; supervises and provides training for employees; ensures compliance with testing and reporting requirements; oversees MS4 program; oversees industrial pre-treatment program; performs other related duties as required. Serves as Operator of Record with the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of five years’ experience preferred. Completion of secondary education with training and extensive experience in wastewater treatment plant operation and maintenance and supervision or post-secondary education in engineering, biology, etc., or equivalent combination; familiarity with wastewater/water reclamation operations and requirements; familiarity with OSHA requirements.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a valid Ohio Class III Wastewater/Water Reclamation License at time of hire. EPA laboratory operator certification required within 60 days of hire. MS4 and Industrial Pretreatment knowledge preferred.

SALARY AND BENEFITS:
Per ordinance 2026-21, salary range is $47,693 – $126,741. In keeping with our municipal compensation practices, placement within the range will be based on qualifications and experience. Most appointments should expect to fall within the mid/upper $90,000 range. Full benefits package is also offered, including health, vision, dental and life insurance and pension pickup. This is a M-F, first shift position. Some holidays will be required.
