The Assistant Superintendent position performs administrative duties and assists with operation and maintenance tasks at the Logan County Sewer District’s wastewater treatment plants. This position serves as the back-up Operator in Responsible Charge (ORC) for the Indian Lake Regional WWTP and the Flat Branch WWTP. This position works hands-on with other operational & supervisory staff to ensure plant operations and maintenance tasks are performed properly. This position also monitors operating data and lab results to ensure proper and efficient operation and compliance with regulatory requirements. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm
Qualifications:
The position requires the selected candidate to possess a High School diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license as well as obtain an Ohio Class B Commercial Driver’s License with air brake and tanker endorsements within 18 months of hire. A minimum of a Class II WWTP Operator license is required with a Class III Wastewater Operator license, issued by the Ohio EPA, required within 24 months of hire.

The Logan County Sewer District is committed to staff development and will provide training opportunities for the selected candidate to obtain the required Class III WWTP Operator and CDL licensing. Qualified individuals who can accomplish assignments equally well individually, and as part of a team, are encouraged to apply, regardless of current CDL and Class III Wastewater Operator licensing status.

Optional supplemental insurance and retirement options are also available. This full-time position is hourly (40hrs/week) with a pay range of $37.07/hr. to $40.64/hr. depending on experience and licensing.
The selected candidate must pass a criminal background check and drug test. All positions are subject to a probationary period of 12 months. All Logan County Sewer District employees must maintain a driving record acceptable to the county’s insurance carrier.
