The St. Clair County Department of Public Works currently has an opening for an
Operator at our facility in Algonac MI. The St. Clair County Wastewater Treatment Plant is a 2.7 MGD tertiary treatment facility that serves the City of Algonac, Clay and Ira Townships. Under the direct supervision of the WWTP Superintendent, performs laboratory analysis, operates solid systems, maintain records, repairs and maintains equipment and machinery. performs semi-skilled labor in operation of wastewater treatment plant and related facilities.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this career opportunity must possess at a minimum, a current MDEQ Municipal Class D certification and have experience in WWTP laboratory procedures as well as a strong mechanical background. Minimum of HS diploma or GED equivalent.
