Details:
Performs a variety of chemical, physical, and biological tests on various wastewater, waste materials, surface water, stormwater, and industry discharges. Determines compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and health standards. Performs daily calculations, enters data into the monthly report, and prepares summary reports and graphs as needed. Maintains lab equipment, conducts sampling and maintains the QA/QC assurance program and chemical hygiene plan.



Qualifications:
Associates Degree in chemistry, biology, environmental science or related field preferably supplemented by experience in a lab environment. An equivalent of education, training and experience may substitute for the degree requirement. One to two years experience in all areas of operating a wastewater or water laboratory preferred. Knowledge in Microsoft Office applications. Must obtain a Class "D" Operators License from the MDEQ within two years. Valid Michigan Driver's License required.
