Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a regular, part-time position available for a grease trap inspector. Responsibilities include inspecting grease traps and/or grease interceptors for cleanliness and operation; instructing customers on grease best practices procedures; and producing year-end reports. Travel to sites throughout the township is an essential function of this position; a valid driver’s license is required. Hours for this position are flexible and could be up to 30 hours per week during normal business hours; if future workload increases, the number of hours worked per week may also increase and/or this position could be converted to a regular full-time position. Because this is currently a part-time position, no benefits are included.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have at least two years of experience managing or conducting grease inspections; OR, if no experience with grease inspections, at least five years of relevant plumbing or wastewater collections experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following: Michigan Wastewater license or the ability to obtain within 12 months of hire; industrial pretreatment; knowledge of local plumbing code; cross connection surveying; principles and methods of grease trap and/or grease interceptor devices; wastewater collection systems and water distribution systems; knowledge of/ experience with safety training.
