Details:
Position performs skilled electrical work in the installation, maintenance, overhaul, and repair and testing of power generating and distribution equipment, standby and emergency power sources, and other electrical equipment found in waste water collection and treatment facilities. Performs preventative maintenance on electrical equipment; troubleshoots problems as necessary and maintains accurate and complete work records. In addition, performs a variety of general skilled maintenance tasks and upkeep of the plant and pumping stations; maintains a safe and clean work environment, and may provide lead supervision for assigned projects. Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and standards.

Qualifications:
Associate’s degree or equivalent; State of Michigan Journeyman Electrician license; Master Electrician preferred; four years of responsible experience in wastewater or industrial plant maintenance. Must possess a valid, unrestricted Michigan driver's license, with an excellent driving record. Possession of, or ability to obtain, a D operator’s license within two years after being deemed eligible to test for the D license, based on MDEQ minimum requirements.
