Details:
Under general supervision, employees of this class provide technical services and engineering support duties. Employees verify and provide technical project and/or property easement references, perform fieldwork, and use specialized engineering software. Employees of this experienced level class perform a variety of duties, including regular meetings with County and non-County personnel, assisting higher level engineering staff, and resolving reported field problems. Mathematical and logical thinking skills are used regularly. Utilizes current county-wide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.

Qualifications:

1. Must be a high school graduate or have a certificate of successful completion of the General
Education Development Test; AND

2. Have had at least three (3) years of full-time experience performing mapping, engineering,
community planning, surveying, property assessing, architectural work, database
management, or programming.

NOTE: Up to two (2) years full-time course credits at an accredited college or university in a related field of study may be substituted for up to two (2) years full-time experience.

3. Possess a valid Michigan motor vehicle operator's license.

4. Pass the complete examination including the employment medical, established for this class.

5. Successfully complete the six-month probationary period.
