Courtney Hoette, MBA, Named Controller at BEX Construction Services

Courtney Hoette, MBA, has been named controller at BEX Construction Services, the fifth fastest-growing privately held company in the St. Louis region.

In her new role, Hoette applies 16 years of accounting experience to providing accurate, timely and relevant financial data for firm leaders to make impactful, real-time business decisions.

She has previously served as chief operating officer, chief financial officer, controller, auditor, and in other accounting integration and analysis roles within the construction, pharmaceutical, banking and professional services industries.

Hoette graduated from the University of Missouri-St. Louis with a master of business administration (MBA) degree and from Fontbonne University with a bachelor’s degree in business, majoring in accounting.

“I am able to roll up my sleeves and get in the dirt to elevate accurate and timely data to management for decisions,” she said. “I value my experience in several industries, but the dynamism of construction accounting is where I thrive.”

Hoette has two sons, is an avid reader, and has had a lifelong love affair with Tennessee Walkers. “I grew up spending summers and many weekends at my Grandpa's farm in Linn, Mo., where I started driving four-wheelers at age 5,” she said. “To forge a true bond with your horse, it is essential to show up as your true self,” Hoette said. “These horses are incredibly intuitive and aware of energy so they will disengage if you are not congruent in actions and words. They look for direct communication, and being present, both physically and emotionally. There’s a natural link for me between this and working hard with integrity and listening to our customers to deliver the best service possible.
