10/30/17 Lt. Governor's Travel & Tourism Summit, Tahlequah
The third and final Lt. Governor's Travel & Tourism Summits, hosted by the Tahlequah Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, was held on October 30 at the Tahlequah Event Center. These half-day programs provide tourism education featuring speakers covering a range of topics on best practices to promote tourism in your region, and include a townhall-type discussion by the Lt. 7/27/17 Odyssey de Culinaire OKC
The beautiful Skirvin Hilton Hotel was the location for the OKC Odyssey dinner. Chefs did a great job with the “Regional Fusion” theme and attendees enjoyed their evening.

5/16/17 RedBud Awards Gala
OTIA held its annual RedBud Awards gala at the Oklahoma History Center on May 16, 2017. Open to all Oklahoma tourism entities, the RedBud Awards represent the highest honor given in the Oklahoma tourism industry. The awards recognize Oklahoma's top tourism attractions, events, programs and organizations for outstanding efforts to serve and promote Oklahoma's tourism industry.

Tourism professionals from across the state gathered on May 16, 2017 for the Oklahoma Conference on Tourism, an annual event that helps Oklahoma's tourism industry work together to grow our attractions and communities. Between OTIA's Annual Meeting, eleven educational sessions, a trade show, networking opportunities, and the RedBud Awards gala, attendees had a great time!

3/28/17 Destination Capitol Hill
Destination Capitol Hill is the U.S. Travel industry's premier legislative event, combining a day on Capitol Hill with advocacy training, guest speakers, and peer-to-peer networking. Oklahoma is proud to have sent seven delegates, all of whom are learning about upcoming legislation that impacts travel and meeting with members of Congress to stress the importance of travel as an economic driver.

Members of the Oklahoma Travel Industry Association, Oklahoma Restaurant Association, and Oklahoma Hotel & Lodging Association spoke to legislators about issues facing our industry, and then ended the day with the biggest legislative reception in the state.
