Holiday Tips for Caregivers (and anyone with parents)
All photographs by Vicki Victoria. Raised in San Francisco by a single mother, Vicki Victoria appreciated the community-based programs and services that helped her and her family. As an adult, she then embraced a career in nonprofit services and working with elders. Vicki is also a visual artist who paints and photographs, among other talents and passions.
When Vicki’s mother’s health became compromised, she convinced her to stay with her, helped to guide her mother to healthier food choices, and introduced gardening and a regular walking program. After a year, her mother was well enough to return to her own home.
