MN HOSA travels to Washington, D.C.
In September, five of the MN HOSA State Officer team traveled to Washington, D.C. for the annual Washington Leadership Academy.

Five members of the Minnesota HOSA State Officer team traveled to Washington DC to attend Washington Leadership Academy from September 24-27. The group had the opportunity to network with other state and local officers across the country and even the world. The Officers attended various leadership trainings hosted HOSA International Executive Council, and also spent a day at the Capitol to meet with Minnesota representative Tom Emmer's office about continuing government support for CTSO's like Minnesota HOSA.  The group also had the chance to tour the Capital Building, walk through Arlington National Cemetery, go on a twilight tour of national monuments and visit the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History.

Officer President, Tristen Rothrum, stated “It was an amazing experience over all. We got to meet so many amazing people and got to see a lot of DC while also learning how we can better lead our charted association. Myself and the rest of the MN State Officer team are extremely excited to bring our new leadership skills to MN HOSA to inspire the next generation of future health professionals!”

MN HOSA wishes to thank each Officer's school for allowing them to travel during school time, White Bear Lake Educational Foundation, as well as Bryana Renner, MN HOSA Board Vice-Chair and Local Advisor who served as chaperone for the group.  Support such as this makes our Future Health Professionals better prepared for the road ahead.
