Want to enter your system in the drinking water contest? Bring a gallon of labeled, cooled, drinking water from your community’s supply to the registration desk by 9 AM on Monday, March 16th. Your sample will be kept chilled, and a panel of judges will select a winner based on taste, odor, and clarity. The winning water will be announced at our Awards Banquet on Wednesday evening, March 19th and represent CRWA and compete with nationwide utilities at the NRWA Water Rally in 2027.

How it works:

Bring a gallon of labeled, cooled, drinking water from your community’s supply to the Registration Hub on Tuesday, March 17. Water check-in at 9:00 am for preliminary judging at noon. Your sample will be kept chilled. A panel of judges will select the winner based on taste, odor, and clarity.
Wednesday (Mar 18, 10:30 – 11:00 am): Conference attendees will judge the final four (4) winners from the Tuesday prelim judging.

The winner will be announced at the Awards Banquet.

Rules:

Samples must be in a glass gallon jar.
Each applicant is responsible for keeping their water cooled until the Tuesday check-in at 9:00 am - 12:00 am at the Registration Hub.
Must be a rural water system with 10,000 or less.
All entries must meet State Division of Drinking Water standards, with no significant deficiencies.
