Approval to Use Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) Administrative Funds
The use of  Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) Administrative Funds has been approved for participants to attend the 34th National Conference on Social Work and HIV (NCSWH) planned by the Professional Association of Social Workers in HIV/AIDS (PASWHA) and Collaborative Solutions Inc.( CSI)  scheduled on May 25 -28, 2022 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Using RWHAP funds for attendance at the NCSWH is an allowable activity for RWHAP Parts A, B, C, D, the AIDS Education and Training Centers (AETCs), and Special Projects of National Significance (SPNS), in accordance with applicable language outlined in the Notice of Award (NoA).

RWHAP grant recipients who plan to use administrative dollars to attend this conference should consider the following issues:
  • How will attendance at this meeting help address the goals of the National HIV Strategic Plan and/or the Ending the HIV Epidemic Initiative?
  • How will attendance at this meeting help enhance the administration of your RWHAP grant and assist in improving HIV service delivery in your service area, jurisdiction, or community?
  • Do you have sufficient funds for the administrative expense of this meeting and for other HRSA HAB-sponsored meetings you have or will be asked to attend this fiscal year (including the National Ryan White Conference on HIV Care and Treatment on August 23 –26, 2022)?
If your response to these questions demonstrates that attendance will benefit your RWHAP work and you have the administrative funds for the expense, we encourage you to attend the conference.RWHAP Part A and Part B grant recipients can also work with their local sub-recipient organizations to determine whether the use of administrative funds to attend the NCSWH is an allowable expense.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your HAB project officer.
