Event Description

Join OKWIL for "Mindfully Managing the Mess of Life" featuring speaker David B. McLaughlin.

In this session, we will discuss the basics of mindfulness and how we can be more mindful at juggling everything life throws at us. We are all very busy with our careers, family life, and maxed-out stressful situations. Learn how to better manage everything that is thrown at us while bringing peace to the center of our lives.

Buy 50/50 Raffle tickets and support the Oklahoma Chapter of Women in Lodging. Each ticket purchased provides one chance during a cash drawing at the end of the session. If your ticket is pulled, you'll win 50% of the total dollars raised for the session. The other 50% supports one member scholarship to the American Hotel & Lodging Association “Hotels on the Hill” legislative conference. Tickets will also be sold onsite.

David B. McLaughlin

David B. McLaughlin, M.Ed, SHRM-SCP, is the founder of Pendulum Coaching and brings a wealth of unique experience, insight and energy to solving problems and helping employers and employees work better together. He has over twenty years’ experience coaching and consulting. He has been committed to mindfulness and meditation for over ten years and is a certified emotional intelligence instructor and assessment administrator. 

He has a M. Ed in Adult Education and B.S. in Accounting from the University of Central Oklahoma. He is also currently a Ph. D student at Kansas State University. David is host of the podcast, The Mindful Leader. 

David served at a large insurance company in Oklahoma City for 18 years where he was an executive in charge of Learning and Development. He has also served on the boards of the Oklahoma City Human Resources Society and Central Oklahoma Chapter of the Association of Talent Development as well as many other business and community organizations. David is also a former tax accountant and a frequent event speaker.
