Guest Speaker Topic Information:
Our Waste Crisis and the Circular Economy Solution:  An Introduction

Jo-Anne St. Godard, the Executive Director of Circular Innovation Council (formerly the Recycling Council of Ontario) will speak at our Annual General Meeting on Saturday March 25 about the circular economy. Following her recent session at COP27, the conference coordinating global climate action, St. Godard will demonstrate how a circular economy redefines value beyond the current linear production and consumption model of “take-make-waste”. Find out how circularity improves the value of natural resources, reduces carbon emissions, and eliminates waste while prioritizing social benefits and economic prosperity. Discover how this model encourages innovation in product design and business delivery systems. Learn about Canada’s transition to the circular economy and get on the ground floor of supporting the next global economic movement that will affect us all.

Circular Innovation Council is a national, not-for-profit, membership-based organization accelerating Canada’s transition toward a circular economy. We educate and empower Canadians to take action on the circular economy and its environmental, economic and social benefits.
