Event Description
DEADLINE FOR ASHA CEUS IS OCTOBER 31ST.

Presented by Krysten Isabell, M.A., CCC-SLP and Emily Boguth, M.A., CCC-SLP, Henry Ford Health System.

This presentation was originally scheduled for March 18th during the MSHA Annual Conference. Because of technical difficulties we have rescheduled this presentation and invite all previously registered conference attendees and others to attend.

Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) across the glove have been increasingly focused on developmental and comprehensive care. Speech-Language Pathologists play an integral role in the NICU from supporting infant's feeding from non-nutritive intervention, to breast and bottle feeding and beyond, and to educating physicians, nurses, and caregivers.  This video will describe the SLPs role in the NICU from Birth to one year.  The discussion will include multidisciplinary care, overcoming obstacles in the NICU, and common complications and management post discharge from the NICU.
