High School Mathematical Modeling — VIRTUAL - Leah Dix (2021-22)
Please note: This professional learning event is only for KENTUCKY high school math teachers and coaches.  
Course Description:

This course provides an opportunity for Kentucky classroom math teachers of students in Grades 9-12 to learn, understand, apply the modeling process as well as the standards for mathematical practice for students. Participants will explore lesson tasks that include algebra and statistics topics as well as create high yield tasks that incorporate student mathematical practice for modeling.
Participants will receive books, activities, and instructional materials and will be expected to attend all 3 "days" (6 half-day virtual sessions) of the course.
Participants must be able to fully participate in these live and interactive ZOOM meeting sessions as scheduled. Sessions will not be recorded to watch at any time. 

Cost: FREE
Duration: 6 half-day virtual sessions
All 6 sessions will meet from 3:15 - 6:15 pm EASTERN Time (which is 2:15 - 5:15 pm CENTRAL Time)
