Explorations in 3rd Grade Multiplication and Division: Muhlenberg County - Bonny Riedell (2020-21)
11/4/2020 - 1/20/2021
12:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Event Description
Description: The first critical area of focus for third grade is developing understanding of and strategies for multiplication and division within 100. During this session, teachers will explore contexts and tasks designed to support students in their journey toward multiplicative fluency within 100. Participants will receive prepared activities and several books from the series Contexts for Learning: Level 2 (Investigating Multiplication and Division).

ORIGINAL NOTE: Based on current health/safety recommendations, all sessions of this professional learning event (PLE) that meet in 2020 will meet virtually and not in person. Because meeting online for 6 hours per day would not be favorable or even feasible for course participants, each day of this 2-day PLE has been broken down into two half-day sessions. Should we be able to resume in-person sessions in 2021, Day 2 of this PLE will meet in-person for one full day.
UPDATE 10/2/20: Because of COVID-19, this course will be unable to meet in person in 2021 as hoped. All training sessions for this course will meet virtually.
