Hello ILASFAA,
By now I hope all of you have been able to take advantage of some of the perks of being an ILASFAA member. Whether it was the fall remote conference programming, diversity round tables, or the FSA debriefing we have had several opportunities for you to get value from your ILASFAA membership. Today, I am inviting you to register for the upcoming 2023 annual conference March 13th to the 15th at the IHotel in Champaign, IL on the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign campus. Please come and mingle with fellow financial aid professionals and learn about the exciting and somewhat anxiety inducing changes to the financial aid world.
One major highlight of this year’s conference will be the discussion around transitioning to an institutional membership model from our current individual model. Because of this important topic, you will notice that there is not an ILASFAA membership fee being charged as part of the conference registration. If adopted, the institutional membership process would be an annual bill to the institution for a membership rate based on the institutions enrollment. This is the same model being used by MASFAA and NASFAA. That is why it is even more important that you attend the next conference to participate in the discussion of the future of our association.
