The Collaborative Assessment & Management of Suicidality (CAMS) Training is an evidence-based treatment framework used to assess suicidality and specifically treat suicide risk. CAMS 3-part training provides mental & behavioral health providers with essential knowledge in using the CAMS framework to collaborate with patients in the treatment of their suicidal drivers. The CAMS 3-part training includes:
  1. A three-hour, self-paced online course: This course features a series of videos which provide an overview of the CAMS model. Completion of the online course is required prior to attending the in-person, role-play workshop.
  2. An in-person, one-day workshop: An experienced CAMS Consultant will train participants in using the CAMS framework through role-play where participants take turns acting as both counselors and patients.
  3. Group Consultation Calls: Following the workshop, group phone calls will be held for 8 weeks, providing opportunity to discuss successes and challenges as participants implement the CAMS model.
