8:30 AM - 5:00 PM CST

Event Description
TeachStone CLASS logo
The CLASS (Classroom Assessment Scoring System) is an observational instrument to assess quality in preschool classrooms. The CLASS assesses interactions between children and teachers in three broad domains of classroom quality: Emotional Support, Classroom Organization, and Instructional Support. The Office of Head Start believes that the domains of quality measured by the CLASS remain central to its approach to child development and education and serve as important indicators of the future school readiness of all Head Start children. The two days will focus on CLASS Observation Training with Reliability Assessment offered online.

Who should attend? Are you interested in learning how to observe classrooms using the CLASS? This training will guide you through the CLASS Observation tools and prepare you to become a reliable CLASS Observer in our two-day Pre-K CLASS Observation Training. This training is open to Education Managers, Curriculum Specialists, Master Teachers, and Program Directors in Head Start agencies, school districts, and other early childhood agencies that serve preschool age children.

Registration is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis although we reserve the right to limit the number of participants from any one center.

**Important Note: Attendance is required for both days to beeligible for reliability testing.
**As there will be only one instructor, the class size is limited to 17 people.  Please register ASAP.
