Event Description
This is the KCM's most rigorous learning experience for elementary grades teachers who deliver intensive mathematics intervention and who help students at different ages and ability levels. Completing this course is also the route to becoming a Math Recovery Leader, SNAP (Student Numeracy Assessment Progressions) Facilitator, and/or Add+Vantage MR Champion.

Mathematics Recovery Intervention Specialist includes 10 days of training spread over 3 sessions.
MRIS also requires 4 in-person collegial team meetings, which will be scheduled at the discretion of the facilitator and training participants.

The dates for 10 days of training for 2019 are:
Session 1 (DAYS 1-4): Tuesday - Friday, July 16, 17, 18,  & 19 (9:00 am - 4:00 pm, EST) 
   Location for Session 1 = Kirksville Elementary School, 2399 Lancaster Road, Richmond, KY, 40475 

Session 2: (DAYS 5-7): Tuesday - Thursday, September 17, 18 & 19 (9:00 am - 4:00 pm, EST)
   Location for Session 2 = Boonesborough Elementary School, 1441 Boonesborough Road, Richmond, KY, 40475
 
Session 3: (DAYS 8-10): Wednesday - Friday, December 11, 12 & 13 (9:00 am - 4:00 pm, EST)
   Location for Session 2 = Boonesborough Elementary School, 1441 Boonesborough Road, Richmond, KY, 40475

Registration will no longer be available for this event after 11:59 pm on May 28, 2019.

Cost (per person): $3,900
Price includes 10 days of training, 3 coaching site-visits from the MR Leader, 2 teacher handbooks, scholarly readings, reading journal, 5 assessment kits, numeral cards, bead racks, counters and covers, dot dice, numeral dice, arrow cards, laminated hundred chart, 100 bead string, blank cubes, deca die, and sticks/elastic.
