Willow Ridge Elementary School Gym, 12840 Nixon Road Grand Ledge
Join us on an adventure about Professor Noble and the Science Heroes, who embark on a treasure-hunting quest deep within an ancient temple! Can they solve the puzzles, escape the traps, and return with the treasure before time runs out?! The audience helps the performer act out the tale, as we use the events in the story to discover and explore several exciting science concepts — like air pressure, the transfer of energy, physical and chemical changes, and more! Volunteers help conduct each experiment as the whole audience gets involved in changing variables and making predictions! We’ll even bring some experiments out into the crowd for all to see! All ages!

The 2024 Eaton County Fair will be July 8-13, with pre-fair events starting on July 6! Join us for seven days of family fun, including exciting carnival rides, live entertainment, tractor pulls, horse racing, horse pulls, motocross, bump-n-run derby, rodeo, plenty of good food, and let’s not forget all of the competitions and agricultural exhibits.

A great place for farmers and artisans to sell their products directly to the community as well as food truck vendors who can provide tasty local foods.

The market is intended to foster local economic development and encourage business in Grand Ledge. The markets purpose is to also bring local produce and other locally produced goods to the people of Grand Ledge. Items include fresh local produce, homemade baked goods, handcrafted products, plants, honey, maple syrup, smoked fish, flowers, and other locally produced goods.

Our Summer Reading Program (SRP) combines fun activities and entertaining events to support and increase reading skills – and learning – all summer long! June 1 - July 31.

GLADL offers traditional paper and digital options to participate in SRP, plus great resources for beginning readers to adults all available starting June 1. Stop in today or visit gladl.org/srp2024. We also have storytimes, themed entertainers and educators, creative crafts, and games both inside and outside all Summer long. And of course, we’ll have “Adventure” themed instant prizes for each completed reading log!

Learn the techniques used in the investigation of how these creatures lived and died. See the evidence and discover the stories that are told through Dinosaur CSI. All ages.

Choose up to 10 beautiful pieces you would like to swap. You will receive a ticket for each piece to swap for another new gently used piece! Then.....come up to Tap House Bo and pair something new with your piece and you will receive 15% off this night only.
SWAP Clothing can be brought in a week ahead of time to get set up....contact us (616-204-5117) or by messaging us to participate or just bring in your pieces July 1-9th while our store is open.
At the end of the SWAP you can choose to take it back or THB will donate all extra pieces to: a local charity.
(No more than 10 pieces, all sizes, boutique style clothing, no workout or hoodies or sweatshirts)
We will have drinks if you would also like to bring a dish to pass:)

7/10 - Due to flooding/wet conditions at Island Park, our Medieval Longsword Adventure Workshop for Teens (ages 12+) will now be held at GLADL.

Join the Swordsmanship Museum and Academy as they lead a class exploring the historical swordsmanship fundamentals and techniques of the iconic Medieval longsword! These techniques have been recorded directly from German mercenaries, soldiers, and swordsmen, and now to you! Space is limited, while swords last. Ages 12+.

Ever wonder why the moon changes shape and what it really looks like up there?  We will read a story and do some science experiments to answer those questions. Concludes with a quick moon craft. Ages 3+.

Use interesting everyday materials in new and interesting ways. Build an obstacle track that moves your marble from one place to another. Can you join your marble machine with someone else’s? Supplies in each session limited to 25 children.

Celebrate all things Pokemon and become a Pokemon Master! Come make Pokemon crafts, take turns play Pokemon Snap, and do a Pokemon themed scavenger hunt. You can bring your own Switch with a Pokemon game and your own Pokemon cards to battle and trade. Ages 5+.

Teens, put your taste buds to the test! We’ll have cheese pizza from several different pizza restaurants – eat your slices without knowing which is which and see if you can correctly guess what restaurant made each pizza! Also, vote on your favorite pizza to determine the most popular pizza. Ages 13 - 18.

If you would like to submit a local community event to be included in our calendar, please submit your event online.  

Submissions will ONLY be approved for those local community events that will take place within the Grand Ledge Public School (GLPS) District or that are sponsored by a local business or organization that is housed with the GLPS District.
