Virtual Happy Hour: Covid Show & Tell
Hello, JCI Members, other Jaycees, and prospective Jaycees! These days may feel a little isolating, so please join us for a virtual happy hour so we have an excuse to see each other without talking and imbibe. The theme of the night is covid show and tell. It's just like elementary school show and tell, but we're asking you to show and tell about something that represents your last few months of covid and quarantine. Maybe you've taken up a new craft, read an amazing book, grown a huge beard, squired a new family member, or mastered a delicious baked goods recipe. If you claim to have nothing to show and tell, we of course welcome you to join us anyway! And bring a friend! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.

The Kindness Rally
We bring the community together for friendly, competitive fun focusing on kind acts & community impact.
Saturday, Septemebr 26th | 12-4 p.m.
Virtual Online Event
In this family-friendly global competition, teams are equipped with supplies, shirts, and a list of random act of kindness “challenges” that involve helping others and bettering the community. From cleaning up trash and writing thank-you notes to paying for a stranger's coffee, teams will work to cross off challenges to see who has done the most good deeds by the end of the event. Teams use our mobile app and social media to showcase their community impact and encourage others, so follow #TheKindnessRally hashtag on September 26th to see all the positive change created during this rally!
Sign up as an individual and create a team later, or declare yourself a team captain and gather friends to be on your team ( 2 - 6 people). You can choose to get the team supplies yourself, or simply add on a Kindness Kit to equip your team with everything you need! (see below)
The Kindness Rally is out to celebrate everything that makes your community special and the people that contribute to it. The focus will always be on the local level. It is about making a positive impact by being kind to your neighbors, businesses, and community members.
10, 165 acts of kindness were completed last year in just one day! Together we are changing the world one act of kindness at a time.

Unfortunately, The Kindness Rally funding for 2020 has been impacted by Coronavirus, as many of our donors were small businesses. Still, we have worked hard to try and bring you a hybrid event with multiple options to meet each participant where they are and allow them to participate comfortably. This means an added registration cost this year to help us put on this event. We appreciate your support of The Kindness Rally in 2020 because the world needs kindness — now more than ever!
Safety is a priority with this event. While the in-person outdoor event is the same as it has been in years past, please make sure to wear your mask and remain socially distant.
During registration you can add a kindness kit, t-shirts, and select that you are participating virtually and we will ship all the items to your home.
If you select that you are participating in-person we will email you the starting location for your community, and give you the option to have items mailed or simply pick them up at in-person registration.
Each $10 registration comes with a new commemorative 5th Anniversary Kindness Rally T-shirt. This registration option is open until September 10th, so order now! Free registration will continue until the day of the event, but shirts may not be available.
The Kindness Kit includes supplies needed for one team to participate in the event, shipped to you!
The kit includes: construction paper, tape, book marks, blank postcards, paint tubes and paint brushes, greeting cards with envelopes, markers, sticky notes, sidewalk chalk, garbage bag, packaged dog treats, Kindness Rally labels, our signature "Kindness Cards" to encourage others, and more!
If you would rather gather supplies for your team on your own with items around the house, no need for a kit!
