Join DBIA Western Pacific Region(WPR) Water/Wastewater Committee for a webinar. The Build America Buy America Act, included in the IIJA, states “none of the funds made available for a Federal financial assistance program for infrastructure...may be obligated for a project unless all of the iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used in the project are produced in the United States.” In this webinar, EPA’s Office of Water Domestic Preference Implementation team will provide practical guidance to ensure compliance with these standards for its SRF, WIFIA, and other OW programs. We will also look at examples of how design-build delivery and supply chain volatility can be impacted by these requirements.

The young professionals' committee will be hosting a job site tour at the Denver Federal Center, Building 48.

The Building 48 Modernization Project will convert a 150,000 sf WWII Munitions Plant and most recently a National Archives and Records Administration warehouse which has sat vacant on the Denver Federal Center since 2013 into a highly efficient, modern work environment for DOI's Interior Business Center (IBC). This project will allow IBC to shed three (3) large private market leases, and consolidate into a single federally owned asset, saving the taxpayer nearly $6,000,000 annually.

Check out GSA's video about this project: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lfJvQUlpgI&feature=youtu.be
