Brian Earle: GC resident and former council member gave a presentation of Amplified Impact, which is the largest fund raising company. The company offers online digital fund raisers similar to the old Entertainment Books. Local sections allow businesses to sign up for free advertising on the app. The fee to businesses is the discount you offer. Brian brought flyers with QR codes so you can view the app for yourself and research it if you are interested. The app adjusts by location. If you are traveling outside your general area - the app will update to your location and list any offers or discounts in your area.
Fund raising impact - companies can give a free membership as a benefit at purchase, and when the customer renews their membership, the originating gifter receives the commission.
Ongoing Business:
We advertised in the program for the Kiwanis Pig Race.
MITP Postcards are on the table in bundles of 25. Please take some with you and drop them off to businesses outside GC if possible. We would like to advertise outside GC to draw more people into our town for the events.
Food Trucks / Bands. 3 trucks for June, 4 trucks July & August. Kiwanis will also be selling popcorn.
6 sponsors have confirmed, and several vendors have already confirmed.
MITP - New ideas. We are looking for volunteers for MITP. Volunteers will be “gifted” an hourly rate that will go to your favorite local non-profit charity. Amy will set up an online form to register. 18 and older only please.
Member appreciation night - May 21 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Radcliff. At 6:30pm Parks & Rec will take interested parties on a tour of the Radcliff center and all it has to offer. We will be doing a garden themed door prize gift basket If any members that want to include anything garden related to be included, please reach out to a board member before the event.
Welcome bags. Any new business that picks up their business info at city hall receives a welcome bag from the GCBA. We are in need of items to put in these bags. If you have any give away items to include in the bag, please bring them to us so they can be included.
