Happy Holidays, Dear Friends! It is this time of the year that we are all reminded of the importance of gratitude- gratitude for our families, friends, coworkers and other associates. Here at IWWSG, we especially want to convey our gratitude to our members, speakers, Steering Committee members & other volunteers, and everyone else who helps keep IWWSG vibrant, relevant, successful and fun!
We had very successful meetings in September and November (see recaps below), and registration will soon be opening for our January meeting. We will start the year out with a call for our emerging professionals to join us, with a networking event on the evening of Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at the Annoyance Theatre comedy club in Lakeview. Attendees are invited to meet industry peers, build connections, and if desired, stay to see a comedy show after the schduled event time. The Steering Committee met for a working holiday dinner in December and worked on plans for the remaining part of '25-'26 IWWSG meeting season. More details to come! Our goal is to always strive for a very active, informative, & educational year, with great speakers, facility tours & networking opportunities haeld at fun venues.
Enjoy the holidays! We look forward to seeing you at the January meeting! Cheers!

|
IWWSG extended a special invitation to emerging professionals looking to grow their career in water, sustainability, or environmental fields by holding an “Emerging Professionals’ Happy Hour” on September 24 at Time Out Market in Chicago’s Fulton Market District. The networking event was designed for professionals new to the environmental/water fields to meet peers, build connections, and learn more about getting involved with IWWSG. Since our membership includes a wealth of experienced & knowledgeable professionals working on today’s water and environmental challenges, including engineers, scientists, consultants, attorneys, government leaders, and plant managers, our meetings provide an excellent networking atmosphere for emerging professionals.
