MEETING MINUTES

Call to Order: 9:06 am by Jackie Perrydore, President

New Members: Transportation Riders United
Minutes: August & September meeting minutes were approved by Sue & Amy.
Financial Report: Joe reported September expense report. No objections, filed as reported.
President’s Report:
* Attended the president’s committee meeting, which was created for non-profits to work together,
schedule dates of events, avoid overlaps and create a public access calendar for community events.
* Shared sign holes at Garden City Park
* Marijuana tax is in court
* Learned of a new on-line payment “Zeffy” for non-profits, Joe & Mike will look into it
* There is a new city website with a calendar of events included
Ongoing Business:
There will be a survey going out to all Music in the Park vendors to get feedback and suggestions.
Elections – Nomination time thru Oct. 31, need president, treasurer, and one trustee. Contact Mike,
Elaine or Sharon with nominee’s. At November meeting nominees can speak their views.
December 10th evening meeting at the Straight Farmhouse 6 – 8pm will have G. C. Fire Marshall discuss
requirements for businesses, answer questions and review food truck ordinance and we will announce
our newly elected board of directors.
The Library is collecting donations for the Library Building Fund.
Communication:
Sue, Mickie, Dawn - P/C AAUW, Beauty and the Beast show Feb. 6,7 & 8 at O’Leary Auditorium
Dr. Asmaa - Precision Dental brought goodies to share, third anniversary, has new patient promotion
Amy – Mary Kay skincare
David – Schoolcraft College, winter registration opens, Halloween event October 24
Cathy/Dave- Rotary, Dueling Pianos November 8
Natlie– Shaklee ambassador offering health & wellness
Sharon – Thanked Pancake Breakfast committee for donation, and Octoberfest this weekend with bake sale, beer & food trucks, music, raffles, vendors and free pony rides
Kim Dold – Thrift store moving to Radcliff, food truck ordinance at council meeting, Zac King is interim director at Radcliff, attending Wayne Co. Sheriff Academy, Kiwanis Santa @ Barson’s Dec. 13, Goodfellow’s collecting names of those in need, Breast Cancer Awareness month, get tested.
Joe - J & J Taxes, offers payroll services, bookkeeping & more, Oct. 15 is due date for extensions
Mike W. – Medicare open enrollment
Jackie – National Realty Center, Arthritis instructor at Radcliff $2 drop in fee
