| Dear Members and Friends of CASIA,
As September approaches, many of us are getting back into our regular schedules after a busy summer. It’s been a fantastic season for our association, filled with the best networking events in the industry, membership growth, and momentum. Coming together in force at our Lobster Bake in June, followed by our Golf Class is July, strengthened our association, and welcomed new members into the fold. In fact, we’re excited to share that CASIA is closing in on the 100-member milestone—a true testament to the strength of our industry here in Connecticut and the value of this association.
The energy and engagement we’ve seen this year are inspiring, and I’m confident we’ll carry that momentum through the rest of 2025. |
And speaking of momentum, I couldn’t be more excited about what’s next: our brand new October Fest Expo on October 16th at The VUE in Hamden, CT. This is going to be a first-of-its-kind event for CASIA—a chance to spend time with fellow members, see the latest from vendors, enjoy October Fest-themed food and beer, and connect with our community in a fun, productive way. I encourage every one of you to join us and make this inaugural expo a huge success for our industry here in Connecticut.
As we wrap up summer and look ahead to the busy fall, I want to wish you and your families a safe and happy Labor Day weekend. Thank you for all you do to support CASIA and for being part of this strong, growing association family. I look forward to seeing you in October! Sincerely, Jim Carey CASIA President |

Work Smarter, Not Harder with CASIA's Help! |
As we head into the fall season, I’ve been talking with many of our CASIA members about a challenge that comes up again and again—how to get out of the day-to-day grind and start working on your business, not just in it.
It’s easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of service calls, installations, and customer needs, but the reality is this: if you want your business to grow, and give yourself some breathing room, you have to invest in your people. Building a strong, well-trained team not only takes work off your plate, but it also creates a clear pathway for growth inside your company. Even more it builds a repeatable process to help you scale as quickly as you need to!
That’s why CASIA is committed to bringing you resources that make it easier to train and empower your team. CASIA's Alarm Academy online courses provide professional development in everything from technical courses to business skills like project management and sales. With the right tools and training, your team can step up, allowing you to delegate with confidence and focus on the bigger picture.
And we’re taking it a step further this September. Mark your calendars for Monday, September 16th at 1:00 pm when we host our next live webinar: “Building a Path to Success: How to Develop Your Techs from Level 1 to Sr. Lead Tech." Presented by Shane Klesh of United Alarm and myself, this session will walk you through practical strategies for building a technician development plan that keeps your team engaged, motivated, and on track for long-term success!
If you’re ready to stop running yourself ragged and start building a business that runs smoothly with the right people in the right roles, this webinar is for you. Life is too short to be chained to your business. Let’s focus on working smarter—not harder—and create a culture of growth that benefits you, your team, and your customers.
