AdventureSail programs are underway! While AdventureSail Day is officially August 9, you can host a one whenever it works best for your location. Ask us if you want more information!
We’re also excited to announce that NWSA is partnering with Mariners Learning System to offer scholarships covering the cost of online courses for those pursuing a USCG captain’s or master’s license. A limited number of scholarships are available to women who meet the eligibility criteria and are prepared to cover additional expenses like the drug test, physical exam, and other requirements. Please visit our website for more details.
The board will hold its annual meeting on August 2nd to help plan for the upcoming year. If you have suggestions or ideas you’d like us to consider, please reach out. We'll also begin looking for sponsors for the 2026 conference soon — if you have any leads, send them our way!
Let's go sailing,

This summer share sailing fun with girls. Help us make AdventureSail® the biggest ever
|
August 9 is National AdventureSail Day, a one-day event introducing girls across the country to the joy and empowerment of sailing. Dozens of clubs are already signed up to host, and there’s still time for you to add more fun to the map.
Even if you’ve never hosted before, NWSA has your back with planning guides, marketing tools, and resources to make it easy. And thanks to our generous supporters, reimbursement is available for qualifying expenses to keep participation free for all sailors. Whether you want to host or volunteer, this is your chance to help a young sailor take her very first tack.

Scholarships: Open all year. Ready when the girls are. |
What starts with one great day on the water can turn into something much bigger. The Learn to Sail Youth Scholarship is designed to help young sailors who got their first taste of sailing through AdventureSail take the next step. Available year-round, it supports continued instruction and keeps the momentum going long after the first sail.
