The 22nd NW Patient Safety Conference is Coming Together |
This year’s conference takes place in an interesting and dynamic time in health care. You will hear dynamic and thought-provoking speakers address today’s issues head on. We are presenting many practical applications and newly developed toolkits to improve safety and quality at the “sharp end”: between the patient and the practitioner.

Applications are open for the WPSC newest award: The Health Equity: Innovation in Patient Safety Award |
The award is a statewide recognition program that honors Coalition members for their commitment to health equity through innovative approaches that move the needle on patient safety. Created to elevate health equity as a safety priority in Washington State - through addressing disparities. The application period ends May 31, 2025. Please visit the website for more information and to apply.
The annual award is open to WPSC coalition member organizations that demonstrate an outstanding commitment to innovative ways of reducing health disparities and advancing health equity through policies and procedures that identify as well as close gaps in unequal treatment in the populations they serve, with a view to improving patient safety and health outcomes, particularly for people within target communities. The award is based on our Innovation in Patient Safety Standards, comprised of 7 Health Equity Commitments: - Patient Safety

Improving Care for People with Complex Needs |
The Camden Coalition’s National Center for Complex Health and Social Needs is hosting its national conference “Putting Care at the Center” in October in Portland, OR. It is an event for health and social care providers, policymakers, consumer advocates, program leaders, payers, researchers, and more who are working to improve care for people with complex health and social needs. Meet your colleagues from across the U.S., learn best practices, share your experiences, and help to build the complex care field. Early bird registration is now open.
