| Dear Members and Friends of CASIA, First and foremost, I wish you a very Happy Holiday Season and Prosperous 2025!
As we close out another fantastic year at CASIA, I want to take a moment to thank our members for your ongoing support and dedication. 2024 has been a year of growth and collaboration, and we’ve made great strides as an association.
I’m especially excited about what’s to come as we look ahead to 2025. The next meeting is the CASIA Annual Meeting on January 23rd. This will be an important event where we will vote in our new slate of officers, ensuring that our leadership continues to reflect the dynamic energy and vision of our membership. We’ll also be voting on proposed changes to our bylaws, which will help strengthen and adapt our association to the evolving needs of our industry.
This meeting marks a pivotal moment for CASIA, and your involvement is crucial. It's an opportunity to have your voice heard and to help shape the direction of our association in the coming years.
I look forward to seeing you all there and to continuing the momentum we've built together. Thank you for being a vital part of this amazing association. Let's make 2025 our best year yet!

The CASIA Holiday Party was an unforgettable celebration, filled with great energy, new faces, and a fantastic sense of community! It was a wonderful chance to connect with both new members and long-time supporters. Dana Klesh, our President, shared inspiring words about the momentum we’ve built as we look ahead to 2025. A special moment came when Pat Remes took the floor to thank Dana for his exceptional leadership. She praised Dana’s dedication to the industry and the incredible strides he’s made in propelling CASIA forward, especially in recent years. It’s leaders like Dana who make all the difference, and we’re grateful for his unwavering commitment to the association!

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Dick Sampson, long time member of CASIA and founder of American Alarm & Communications. Dick's contributions to the life safety industry were tremendous and he will be greatly missed. Excerpt from Dick's obituary:
"Two opposite feelings can be true simultaneously, as they are today. With both grief and joy in our hearts we mourn and celebrate Richard L. Sampson of Winchester, Massachusetts, “Dick” to all who knew him, who passed away on December 13, 2024, after 87 years of a remarkable life." |

New Home Market Update from Zonda: New home sales were stable in October despite higher interest rates
"Recent months have presented a mixed bag for the housing market. The presidential election was decisive with a clear winner by the end of the night. In addition, the Federal Reserve cut short-term interest rates for the second time this year. Both were important milestones for sidelined consumers who had paused their home search earlier this year given the uncertainty. The challenge has been that mortgage rates reversed their course. In September, mortgage rates hit the lowest level since late-2022 as investors reacted to and planned for rates cuts and slower economic growth. By early October, mortgage rates were already trending up in anticipation of increased government spending, stronger economic growth projections, and the prospect of a pickup in inflation. The resulting impact has been significant volatility in the mortgage market, including rates surging back into the low-7%s."
