I hope you all are having a wonderful start to your fall! I know things in Tucson have gotten cool fast. I have my sweater on and had my first pumpkin flavored beverage this week.

It’s been a rough month in Idaho, two stories have made national news. Two stories from really small towns that mourn the victims they have lost. It isn’t a new or unexpected story, but the size of the communities these are coming out of is unexpected. While not new or unexpected, students and colleagues experience this every day. Your community shapes you in ways you may never even realize, the stories, trivia, facts, and history you know are unique.

I got married on October 8th to my partner of 10 years, Austin. We got married in Portland and plan to honeymoon in Hawaii next March (when the gloominess of the Pacific Northwest is at it’s max and we will want some sun).
