Greetings IWWSG Members & Friends and Happy 75th Anniversary!!
We’re off to an exciting start!!
On September 21, 2022, IWWSG successfully kicked off its 75th Anniversary Year’s in-person dinner meeting season at the beautiful lakeside Clipper Room at the Hammond Marina with a fascinating presentation on a unique futuristic topic with multiple environmental and sustainability impacts! Issac Yun & Alberto Rincon from The Invert Chicago described their proposed subsurface real estate complex that would transform a current brownfield site in South Chicago into a thriving sustainable development. A big thank you is extended to our presenters and to all the members that attended this meeting – check out the photos below (Thank you, Ted Denning!) for a recap!
Looking ahead, your Steering Committee is excited to announce two upcoming dinner meetings that will be held in the downtown Chicago area. Mark your calendars now to attend – we’re confident you won’t be disappointed! Details will be heading your way SOON!! - October 19: USEPA Update, Pompei Italian Restaurant on Taylor Street
- November 16: MWRD Update, with a return trip to the Erie Cafe

- BS in Civil Engineering from the U of Illinois (Urbana Champaign)
- Spent the decades of the:

70’s and 80’s with the wastewater field surveillance section of the Illinois EPA, based in greater Chicagoland
- 90’s with a variety of consulting firms (and a cup of coffee with the City of Elgin!)
- 00’s with the MWRD Industrial Waste Section until retiring in 2013
- Avid photographer, environmentalist, & yogi
