Roberta Scales - Membership Event Director |
|
|
Roberta moved from Chicago to downtown Sarasota in October 2020 and loves it! While living in Chicagoland, she raised two sons and worked in a public school setting as a Speech - Language Pathologist. Joining Impact100 SRQ has been truly inspirational for Roberta!
She was drawn to Impact100 SRQ's mission, collective giving model and transformational grants. Roberta finds the members to be the most welcoming and friendliest group she has ever met. Her other interests include travel, Pilates, reading and bicycling, in addition to being active in several committees where she lives.

Marilyn joined IMPACT100 SRQ in 2021after meeting Georgia Anderson and was immediately hooked by the energy of this amazing group of women.
She has been a site lead and FAC Chair, served on the Membership Work Group and hosted the 2021 Membership Recruiting Luncheon.

Nancy comes to us from New Jersey and has lived in Sarasota for one year. She is a retired litigation attorney and manages her Family Foundation.
Nancy joined Impact 100 SRQ when she visited the booth at the Farmers Market in early 2021 and dived in immediately. She stated that the organization is the best way to learn about the community and the best way to give back to the community. The women of Impact are inspiring and are like family. |

FOCUS AREA COMMITEE (FAC) UPDATE |

Community Investment Review Committee (CIRC) Teams have started presenting their financial reports to the Focus Area Committees, and Site Visit Teams are forming.
It’s an exciting time for us to learn about the needs in the community and the powerful ideas nonprofits are proposing to fill those needs.
FAC members will continue to gather information to help determine each focus area’s 2 finalists, which will be announced at Meet The Finalists, Wednesday, October 19th 2022. |

Impact100 SRQ events provide an opportunity for members and guests to connect with each other, engage with our mission, and collectively transform our community. There is something for everyone! Following are our signature events.

Meet the Finalists - October 19th, 2022 Nonprofit grant applicant finalists for the current giving year are announced and presented to the community following our Focus Area Committees’ (FAC) extensive grant review process.
Annual Award Celebration - November 6th, 2022
Our most exciting celebration of the year! Nonprofit grant applicant finalists present their initiatives to all attendees, and members cast their individual vote to collectively decide which finalists will receive grant funding. Grant recipients are announced live at this event after the votes are cast and counted! Big Reveal - March 21st, 2023
A suspense-filled and celebratory evening where we announce how many grants we can fund for the upcoming giving year based on the total number of members who have joined our mission. Friends and family are welcome to attend. Feel free to bring a guest who wants to learn more about Impact100 SRQ. D.Y.O.E (Design Your Own Experience) - April or May 2023 An interactive experience for all Members to learn more about Impact100 SRQ, how to get involved and “Design Your Own Experience”. |

Wednesday, August 3rd, noon - 1:30 PM Stay cool and join us at Cool Today Park's Tomahawk Tiki Bar for lunch. A great way to informally connect with Impact100SRQ members in the Venice area and experience this new venue. Space is limited, so please register by July 31st.
