5 THINGS EVERY NONPROFIT SHOULD KNOW
ABOUT APPLYING FOR AN IMPACT100 SRQ GRANT
1. IT’S NOT WHO YOU KNOW AT IMPACT100 SRQ!
It’s about the quality of your grant application and how well you describe your initiative, and how it will make a difference in our community. Hundreds of Impact100 SRQ members serve on our Focus Area Committees (FACs) and participate in our impartial grant review process. Every grant application is viewed on its own merit and any reviewer’s bias is disclosed and managed accordingly.
2. HUNDREDS OF IMPACT100 SRQ MEMBERS ARE EXPOSED TO AND EDUCATED ABOUT YOUR NONPROFIT’S MISSION EVERY YEAR
Even if you are not selected as a current giving year grant award finalist or recipient, many Impact100 SRQ members learn about your mission and programs for the first time through the grant review process. This can lead to bringing new supporters – and potential donors – to your organization.
3. SITE VISITS ARE A KEY COMPONENT OF THE SELECTION PROCESS
Our Impact100 SRQ members relish the opportunity to have an in-person exposure to our potential grant recipients. It enhances their understanding of your programs and missions and increases their knowledge of the various needs in our community.
4. GRANT AWARD RECIPIENTS BENEFIT FROM 24 MONTHS OF OPPORTUNITIES FOR ADDITONAL SUPPORT FROM OUR MEMBERS
During this period, through a program called "Impact In Action", we encourage nonprofits to offer Impact100 SRQ members multiple opportunities to share their time, talent, and treasure to support the initiative they invested in.
5. WE OFFER TRAININGS TO ASSIST WITH THE GRANT APPLICATION PROCESS
Impact100 SRQ hosts information sessions and workshops for nonprofits to learn more about our model and mission, grant cycles, and application process. It is our goal to help every nonprofit in Sarasota and Manatee County know about us and have access to the tools necessary to submit the best application possible.
