The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for an Institutional Research Analyst on the Dahlonega campus. The Institutional Research Analyst is a key point of contact for institutional research information and requests at the University of North Georgia. This individual manages a comprehensive and growing body of research data utilized by university decision makers and outside agencies. This individual performs duties related to institutional research, assessment, and planning with moderate supervision.

Responsibilities
As a key point of contact for institutional research information, responds to requests from on and off-campus for numerical and narrative data on students, faculty, staff, and educational programs of the university. Uses a variety of software, including Excel, Power BI, and other computer tools to perform data analysis and visualization as needed to respond to information requests.
Maintains/uses institutional research data files, including official information and related data.
Prioritizes requests that support decision-making for administrators, especially the CDO and provides general support to the institutional research office as needed.
Assists with the distribution/collection of requests/surveys that UNG sends out such as to alumni, students and faculty, working with other university departments to develop and administer requests/surveys for their areas and maintains and summarizes data from internal systems.
Serves on, and provides data and research analysis to, University committees as requested and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge and experience with Word, Excel, and Power BI or similar software is required.
Ability to multi-task, manage work load, and meet deadlines.
Attention to detail is important.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required.
Two years of experience in institutional research/institutional effectiveness and/or data analysis.

Preferred Qualifications
Degree in a quantitative field or a field requiring research analysis and report writing preferred.
Experience with SQL or similar software is desirable.
Experience working in an institution of higher education and particularly with student records is desirable.

Comments:
This is an in-office position Monday through Friday.

Proposed Salary
Standard Hiring Range: $54,778 - $60,256
