Description:
The overall goal of the workshop will be to provide information, skills, and tactics that will help students and early career researchers write and publish their research. We will provide an overview of the basic elements of a standard research paper, simple approaches to writing clearly and concisely, and how to develop and use effective tables and figures. We will also discuss the publication process, how to identify an appropriate target journal, improving interactions with journal editors and staff, and recommendations for responding to reviewers. We will provide examples and live-edits based on our experience, recommend reading material and other resources, and will encourage questions and discussion during the workshop.
